Study of the 30% cybersecurity skill gap in India

Recent research has shown the rise in the cybersecurity market share’s compound annual growth rate of 8.05 per cent by 2027. As of May 2023, the cybersecurity industry has approximately 40,000 job vacancies to fill, indicating the growing demand for skilled cybersecurity professionals.

The research stresses the global weekly cyber-attacks that have increased by 7 per cent, which shows 1200 attacks per week. Indian organisations face over 2000 weekly attacks in the first quarter of 2023. 7.7 per cent of the attacks are targeted towards the healthcare and education industries making the demand for the skill gap to be filled urgently.
